Hello Everyone.Hi Stephen.Our drinking water here in Highland Park is just aweful.Did you get a chance to see what they put in our water to make it dirty? The water that runs through the many households in Highland Park is nasty and filty. But our citizens are stuck with high water bills, and I don't think it's fair at all.I have been delayed from doing activist's work for the pass two months.But I am back and fighting for my City.I have been communicating with some of our City officials by e-mail,and I would like to thank them (They know who they are)for keeping informed about some of the major still on going problems.No only is water a major issue of Highland Park.So is Public Housing,Public Safety, and having a City Administration to run our city properly. As a Community person that's involved in all crisis,and issues that Highland Park is having.I can't see why it is taking so long to solve the water issue.We must not pat ourselves on the back, and boost about what I did,in this case it's what we did together.D.LEE,I agree 100% with you.The water dept is the only thing that we're currently operating.But since the city of Highland Park,still is under the wings of the state appointed financial Manager,it sems to me that Highland Park is sinking deeper.Replace the people that's in the water dept that's half stepping.Create a complete new water dept,and it's operation,and move on to the next step.Our city should counter attack the Detroit Water & Sewage dept,and take them to court for violation of human rights.In closing,I will be working closely with the MWRO Group,to help fight this issue,and let's not forget our senior citizens of Highland Park.As always I am open to receive likes and dislikes e-mails.I can be reached at: WmAkbarXMovement@Aol.Com.Also look for a reply. Does anyone remember when the concrete barrier on Dequinder was painted annually? When was the last time that it was painted. We share water with Gross Pointe how are they handeling the crisis with Detroit. I don't think that we have always had this prblem. One solution is to have a collection agency collect money from absentee land-lords; is not the home owner responsiable for the water on his/her property? | ||

4 My Money. You are 100% right.I wonder to what is the other cities that uses our water have to say about our situation? But a collection agency is just as bad as the Rothchilds-Wright Group.You must look at the fact that these absentee land owners must be located first,and doing that a research fee will be needed.Also current home owners need to get more involved in the community fight to save our water.Also homeowners should attend each City Council meeting,instead of sitting at home allowing others to fight the battle.That's my opinion to your post here on HP Folks.
