I can't help but to wonder what would be the honest answer to the subject question. To me is seems that everyone is really out for themselves, including the drug pushers.I wonder how many drug raids are made within a week here in Highland Park? I hope that the new City Administration, will do something about the 4 foot garbage dump behind the store on Glendale and Hamilton. Not just there but all throughout Highland Park.We need our own Public Safety back to patrol our streets. You can bet your bottom dollor that I am out here doing my part as a Highland Park citizen.Remember, It's not what your neighborhood can do for you,it's what can you do to help the neighborhood.

My My Highland Parkers need to get up off their butts and do something. Why not support the different community groups that's trying to make the differences? I have notice that most Highland Parkers who live in the well kept section of the city have nothing to be concern or complain about. Our attitudes make towards city matters make our city stink. We have people who promised us the world doing their election campaign, and now they can not be reached by telephone,e-mail,or even regular mail, and the voters re elect them again. The weather is starting to get hot once again, and soon the rats will invade our alleys, and they will also patrol our streets due to trash and curb dumping.Yet Highland Park can build $140,000 dollor homes, and we all should jump off the re-open the library merry-go-round. The library is the City's responsibility, and houses is more important then learning. You HPFOLKS readers can spread the information you read on here by mouth, but again most sit on their butts and complain, and not do nothing to help the city's situation. In closing I am pleased with my elders of the city who is out campaigning for a chance, and GOD knows what the city will be like without you.Our streets is becoming garbage dump sites, and what will we do when the rats take over the city?
