I suppose politics only apply to fixing Woodward Ave? What about the Highland Park neighborhoods, where there is mountains of trash and garbage? To me it looks like people from the outside is more interested in bringing $140,000 homes to this city, and still the low income families and individuals have been forgotten.Hamilton is full of potholes from Webb st on the south to 6 mile on the north, and IF a citizen's vehicle should break a axle or another piece under the car, they must pay for the repairs that the City of Highland Park,or the County,or is it the State who should pay for the repairs? Ghetto neighbor hoods in Highland Park. All some neighborhoods need is some chickens or pigs in the yards. As I ride or walk though some neighborhoods,it appears that the cictizens in some of these neighborhoods don't care how it looks. As a Highland Parker and a Community Activist,I have got information on what a block can do to stop alley dumping, but most likely many citizens see the dumping and don't care some is dumping themselves. The person who took this tour with me do not live here in Highland Park, but expressed their sad feelings about Highland Park, and how the City looks worser then iraq after a bombdrop.Highland Park citizens especially the ones who live in the well kept neighborhoods, should care about the well being of the rest of the city, and we all need to come together in order to take our city back.Myself I did not have faith in Ramona Pearson, and I really don't have trust in Arthur Blackwell, but I do believe in giving him a chance, and if he don't deliver then he can go too.In closing you citizens see they moved the fire station on the far east side of Highland Park, and if it was not for Wayne County Highland Parkers would have to bear arms to protect themselves. The city do not need NO outsider to come in to tell us what to do to rebuild Highland Park, and IF we don't be careful the Blacks citizens will be the minority of the city again. They have taken away our own police dept, trash is more popular then the City Administration in the communities, and tell me will we ever see the light again?

I was raised in HP and now reside on the west side of the state. Over the weekend, I returned to show my son the old neighborhood(s). Devestation, sorrow and desperation only begin to describe my emotions. I intend to find a way to get more involved, including a possible return to the city that made me! Grant me your prayers. Also, pray that those currently in positions will be used by God to restore our city. Hope is eternal.
