Sounded positive on WJR. =============== There is some good economic news for the financially-ailing city of Highland Park. (JUNE 9) - Sears closed its Highland Park store 13 years ago. The nine acre site is now a fenced, grassy area, but by this time next year construction will have begun on a $16-million complex of condos and retail space. Steve Taglione is president of Abbey Homes, which has an established track record in the inner city: "We believe that there is a market within the city limits and we have sold everything that we've built so far, so we have confidence that if we build this, we'll sell this as well." Urbanator Nobody is interested in listening to a white news-talk radio station like WJR or WWJ_News 90.Listen to the Art Blackwell radio program on WCHB-AM Radio 1200.That way you can call in direct to him and hear it direct from him.His program comes on at 6PM.Question Urbanator, Why do most of the City Blacks and Whites prefere to get information from the white media,instead of the Black media? Opps I forgot a so-called Highland Parker who paper is always publishing comments from people who will never come to Highland Park,and she is always sniffing asses like she did Ramona Pearson's butt.Now that Ramona is long gone she's now all up into Art Blackwell's face after she dogged the man.Visit Michigan Citizen or the Michigan FRontpage for facts.Developement for the old Ford Plant?come on give me a break.See how you whites always seem to try to take things over? I'm not quite sure how a 30 second news blip became a white media conspiracy... or how to reply. I wondered about the "Ford Plant" being next, couldn't find anything about Abbey Homes or their big plans... who provided the information to WJR or if the story had legs? | ||

Forget turning issues into a black/white thing. People that still do that are stuck and really that is their last and only thing in life that they can effectively compete with. Everything nowadays is about economics. We need economic development in HP. Hell, I want my property value to increase. | ||
