Yesterday (Aug 31th) I held a 2 hour listening to citizens session, and most citizens said if they don't care why should we? It's a sad thing to hear people make negative statements like that, and I tryed to show them the positive side of things. One said he attended a City Council meeting, and until this day he have not seen nothing change. One attended the meeting at Ford fieldhouse, and asked me who is the Community Resource Developer? Then the Citizen added he's just another person who is all talk and no action. However,I did get my point across to my people. That WE as Citizens are the ones who can make the differences in our city, and thank God for community organizations like the Michigan Welfare Rights, the Highland Park Human Rights Coalition, and the United Blockclub Associations. In closing each citizen that can remember the good days of Highland Park don't forget them, keep them in your minds and heart. We must pray for our City.Because there is more confusion in our City Administration, and in our community, and it will hold us down.Attend our City Council meeting every third Monday of each month.Come out and voice your opinion, and maybe one day your opinion will be heard.Keep the Faith never give up hope.

My Brother William; I'm glad that you are still fighting for Highland Park, sometime's, you have to drag people kicking, and screaming, to get them to realize that there are thing's, worth fighting for. If you don't think something can be done, nothing will.

Dear Brother Hillard. Man I am so thankful for your words of encourgements, and your forever support. It's hard sometimes to do battle for what one may believe in,and yet at the end it will be worth the fight.I have many great people that's in the City Administration that I can go to with a concern, and many times I get a solution from them, and of course I have the Many Many great citizens that support my battle, and that's why I will always have an open door for them.I have developed a saying Mr Hillard, it's not what your community can do for you,but it's what you can do for the community.I have created a up-coming Black History month program that will focus on Black History here in Highland Park called the Freedom Train.I will reveil more within the next two months, and it will be in place before Black History month is over. Thanks Again Mr Hillard, and e-mail me sometimes at: theHPMovement@Aol.Com. The community is also welcome to contact me. Peace Everyone, and MORE POWER TO ALL PEOPLE
