As a Community Activist,I created a idea that I may not get credit for if it is used. But I do know one thing for sure, the idea will be useful to save the library, and it will bring a income to the City.My idea would be to get funds to repair, and to remodel the library,up and downstairs. The main floor can be the library section, and the up stairs can be rented out as office space.I will be researching for grants, and other outlets.I will also be doing whatever that will need to be done.In Association with Brother Jerome Drain, and his weedandseed program.Hopefully,by Febuary 2004 a proposal will be created, and presented to the city planning commission. Also,I welcome feedback from the community. My e-mail address is MCCAN2004 @Aol.Com.More details in the near future.

I spent many hours for years at McGregor. I am willing to help you in any way possible to preserve the library.

Consider yourself asked! I'll be in town the week beginning 2/22 and would like to meet with you and the Library Commission. Let me know if Tuesday or Wednesday are convenient, day or evening. Katherine Clarkson, President, McGregor Library Commission, katestours@aol.com

Like Adaladylaw, I myself spent many, many years enjoying McGregor Lirary, and I was wondering, what happpened, to all the old clock's, that were in the upstairs gallery's? Also, what happenend to all the book's, in praticular, the rare ones, in the basement. If Y'all can let me know, I would greatly apperciate it.

(**Update**) I posted my opinion concerning the library back in December 2003,and at that time I also posted a e-mail contact address. Well since then things have changed. My new update e-mail address is WilliamAkbarX@Msn.Com. I still support any plan that is created to re-open our city's only library, and I am currently working some information that might provide funds to re open the place.
